Heli-Aust has been conducting Search and Rescue (SAR) operations in rotary and fixed wing aircraft across Australia and over water since the company's inception in 1976.

SAR Operations
Currently we are Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) listed service providers for SAR missions Australia-wide.
- Stretcher equipped aircraft
- GPS
- Night Sun remote controlled searchlight
- FLIR imaging device
- Winch and trained crewmen
- Night VFR equipped
- IFR Multi Engine Aircraft
Maritime Operations
Heli-Aust has worked closely with AMSA for some years, having held the contract for the provision of helicopters for the purpose of servicing lighthouses along the eastern seaboard.
Other operations include:
- Marine pilot transfers
- Sonar Buoy testing
- Oil spill dispersing
- Over water aircraft ferries
