History

In 1976, the founding company Heli-Muster Pty Ltd was established to provide aerial mustering in the Northern Territory.

Within 10 years, company operations had began to expanded Australia wide, to include operational bases in Darwin, Katherine, and Victoria River Downs (VRD) in the Northern Territory, Kununurra in Western Australia, and Maggieville in Queensland.

Heli-Aust Pty Ltd was then established to operate as a turbine division out of Bankstown Airport, which included extensive workshop and spare parts facilities.

In addition to operating maintenance and engineering workshops out of VRD and Warnervale, Heli Muster also established Aero-Support Pty Ltd at Bankstown Airport to service and support the escalating fleet of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.

By the mid-eighties, the Heli Muster fleet totaled over 70 aircraft on the Australian register.

Current Status

Heli-Aust focuses largely on turbine helicopter operations and also operates an additional fixed wing division.

Of the Helicopters operated by Heli-Aust, 23 are turbine machines including the Bell 206 Jetranger, Bell 212, Bell 407, UH1H Iroquois, AS350 Squirrel and Kawasaki BK117, all available with a comprehensive range of task-specific, supplementary equipment.

At Heli-Aust our fleet is constantly being upgraded to ensure state of the art aircraft and technology is always available, so that aircraft are at their operational best to service the customer.

Heli-Aust also provides a professional ‘quick response’ service, with helicopters, pilots and support personnel on 24 hour standby to allow round the clock serviceability (especially in fire fighting operations).

Co-ordination of operations Australia-wide is conducted from NSW, with bases located at Bankstown Airport and Warnervale on the Central Coast.

The Heli Aust pilots and engineers, all have an intimate grounding in the industry and perform continuous skills upgrading, regular check and training, and maintain relentless supervision of standards, emergency and safety procedures.
